I just wanted to take a little time at the end of the year to send everyone the very best wishes and wish everyone a wonderful 2021.
We have endured a very strange year and as we all know this has had significant impact on our ability to train together. Here is to hoping that the lockdowns we are all in at the moment are short lived and successful to allow us all to get back to what we love doing.
I also wanted to let you all know that the Instructor team haven't forgotten about or indeed lost interest in our passion for training in karate. We speak regularly and explore the options available to get us all back into the dojo as soon as possible.
We were hoping and planning to open everything back up and get back to normal on the 3rd January 2021. That would have been the perfect opportunity to start afresh and get back into the swing of things. Unfortunately, as you are no doubt all aware the country is sinking again into tighter and tighter restriction.
We have discussed that technically in tier 3 we could open the clubs up but the way the virus is spreading and the government is applying the lockdowns, the Instructors have taken the short term opinion that it is likely Yorkshire will end up in tier 4 which stops any training.
We have decided rather than opening up then having to shut again in a few weeks, we are going to wait and see if the burden of lockdown decreases in the near future to allow us to get back to what hopefully will be more of a normality.
The good news is that once we get back to training, we have the Batley class and we are planning to permanently move what was Dewsbury class to Horbury where we were training for the summer. On the back of this we are also opening a 4th session on the week at Horbury – Wednesday evenings 7.30 to 9pm. I know it's a little later than the Batley class but this is when the dojo is available to us.
So for the time being the web site remains closed to bookings but I really do hope this isn't for long.
From all of the instructor team in WYSKA wishing you a wonderful new year and looking forward to hitting things with you all again soon.
